Composition:
Chymotrypsin is a proteolytic enzyme prepared in a pure form from bovine pancreas. Chymotrypsin is then freeze-dried before packaging.
Properties:
chymotrypsin possesses potent anti-inflammatory properties that enable to hasten the resorption of inflammatory oedemas as well as of postoperative and post-traumatic heamatomas and oedemas. chymotrypsin, furthermore, possesses proteolytic properties that enable to destroy in situ the fibrinous formations resulting from subacute or chronic inflammatory processes.
Indications And Usage:
All inflammatory conditions – deep or superficial haematomas.
chymotrypsin 5 mg is indicated in a very broad range of therapeutic applications:
- OIn Surgery and Traumatology: Post-operative and post-fracture oedemas and haematomas, sprains.
- OIn Gynaecology: Endo and exocervicitis, tubal sterility, chronic metritis and salpingitis, and post-partum mammary engorgement.
- OIn Pneumology: Chronic bronchopathies, and suppurative pulmonary conditions.
- OIn Oto-Rhino-Laryngology: Sinusitis, laryngitis and pharyngitis, adhesive otitis, and syringitis.
- OIn Rheumatology: Arthritis, periarthritis, and Dupuytren’s contracture.
- OIn Dermatology: Anthraxes, furuncles, abcesses, ulcers, eschars, and cheloid scars.
Contraindications:
known sensitivity to chymotrypsin.
Dosage & Administration:
1-2 ampoules daily IM box of 3 ampoules of 5 mg crystallized and lyophilized chymotrypsin (450 E. A. Units) + 3 ampoules of 3 ml apyrogenic saline.
