Bromydrin

Composition: Antiemetic, Antispasmodic and Sedative


Properties: Each 100ml of prepared solution contains:
-    Sodium Citrate 2g
-    Sodium Bromide 1g
-    Atropine Methonitrate 5mg

Indications: -    Vomiting in infants and children.
-    Intestinal colic in infants.
-    Congenital pyloric stenosis in the newly born.
-    To relief spasm of both pyloric and cardiac sphincters in the stomach for infants and children.   
-    To induce sedation for infants and children.

Contra-Indictions:

Adverse Effects:

Dosage & Administration: Up to 1 teaspoonful, 4-6 times daily according to age, 10 minutes before feeding.  In case of congenital pyloric stenosis, the treatment should be continued after vomiting ceases for at least a week as the rapid withdrawal of treatment may cause return of projectile vomiting.

How supplied: Bottles of 60ml containing powder to be dissolved in water before use.

N.B.:
The solution should be used within 10 days of preparation.
