Composition: Each 5 gm contains:
-    Piperazine citrate 0.165gm.
-    Colchicine 0.3mg.

Properties: -    Colchicine is used for the relief of acute gout and prophylaxis of acute attacks.
-    Colchicine produces a dramatic response in acute gout by giving rapid relief from pain and reducing the inflammatory reaction to urate crystals. The effect might be due to several actions including decreased mobility of leucocytes.
-    Piperazine citrate has been reported to produce an apparent decrease in measurements of serum uric acid.
-    Khellin and Atropine sulphate, by their relaxant action, relieve urinary tract spasm during excretion of urates.
-    Sodium bicarbonate is an alkalinizing agent since alkaline urine is essential to prevent development of uric acid renal calculi.

Indications: -    Acute and chronic gout
-    Gouty arthritis
-    Prophylaxis against urate stones
